Welcoming our new Trustees

Sarah and Tony are bringing a wealth of experience and passion to our Trustee Board

We’re thrilled to welcome two new Trustees to our Trustee Board. The Trustee Board is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the Foundation. We look forward to Sarah and Tony bringing fresh insight and reach to help the Foundation reach more lives, more effectively.

Sarah Marshall

Sarah is Director of Marketing & Insight at the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), the UK’s national governing body for on-water activity, spanning sailing, motorboating, windsurfing and personal watercraft. She leads the RYA’s brand, digital, insight, membership, and commercial partnerships, shaping how the sport connects with participants and partners nationwide.

Sarah told us

“I’m delighted to become a trustee of the British Gymnastics Foundation. I’ve seen first hand how sport can unlock confidence, belonging and joy, whatever your starting point.
My commitment is to help remove barriers so more people can access the support and opportunities that gymnastics provides.”

With over 20 years’ experience across sport, entertainment, leisure and business tourism, Sarah brings deep expertise in marketing and audience engagement. Previously at The Football Association for a decade, Sarah led venue brand and marketing for both Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park.

Alongside her professional career, Sarah has held governance roles within education, including five years as a Business Governor at Burton & South Derbyshire College, bringing valuable strategic and commercial insight to the British Gymnastics Foundation.

Sarah is passionate about sport and its transformative power to enrich lives, fostering healthier, stronger communities and creating positive outcomes for individuals.

Tony Langenegger

Tony is an accomplished sports partnership and commercial leader with more than 25 years of experience across some of the UK’s most prominent sporting organisations. He currently serves as Partnership Director at Goodwood Racecourse, a role he has held for four years. His role sees him work with many leading global brands including Visit Qatar, one of the largest sponsorships in British horse racing. His work spans the full partnership lifecycle, from securing major new sponsors to managing and activating complex, high-value relationships, driving commercial growth and enhancing the value of sports sponsorships at every level.

Tony told us

It’s a hugely exciting opportunity and I look forward to contributing positively to the organisation as it continues to create opportunities through gymnastics to improve the lives of people and communities most in need”

Before joining Goodwood, Tony had a long stint at The Jockey Club as Head of Partnerships, where he contributed to the commercial success of one of the world’s largest horse racing organisations helping deliver impactful sponsorship programmes that elevated both partner visibility and event experiences.

His earlier career included seven years at Surrey County Cricket Club and he has also worked within major tennis and rugby league organisations, giving him a broad, multi-sport perspective and a deep understanding of how to sell and build mutually beneficial partnerships across diverse sporting audiences.
